Instructions:

Prepare Ingredients: Related Articles- Remove the tops of the green onions and set aside the white portions.
- Cut the green onion tops into very thin strips and place them in a bowl of ice water.
- Slice the white portions of 3 onions and reserve the remaining onions for later use.
- Slice the gingerroot into thin pieces.
 
- 
Prepare Chicken Filling: - In a food processor, combine the chicken breasts, gingerroot, white wine vinegar, sugar, egg, garlic clove, and soy sauce.
- Process the mixture for 30 seconds until well combined, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Stir in the sliced onions into the chicken mixture.

Assemble Firecrackers: - Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Lay one sheet of phyllo pastry on a damp towel and lightly coat it with cooking spray.
- Layer three phyllo sheets on top of each other, spraying each layer lightly with cooking spray.
- Cut the phyllo stack in half lengthwise, then cut each half into thirds to make six stacks. Keep them covered with a damp towel to prevent drying out.
- Spoon one tablespoon of the chicken mixture onto the center of a phyllo stack, leaving about 1 1/2 inches of space on each end.
- Roll up the phyllo stack jellyroll fashion, starting from the long sides, then twist 1 1/2 inches from each end.
- Place the firecrackers seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or coated with cooking spray.
