American-Style Grilled Gourami Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces of gourami fish fillets
  • 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons melted margarine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Sasa seasoning (optional, to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:
In a small bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, ground nutmeg, sweet soy sauce, melted margarine, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are fully blended.

  2. Season the Fish:
Rub the marinade generously over the gourami fish fillets, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Let the fish sit in the marinade for about 15-20 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  3. Preheat the Pan:
Heat a non-stick skillet or grilling pan over medium heat.

  4. Grill the Fish:
Place the marinated fish fillets into the hot pan. Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish turns golden brown. Be careful not to cook the fish too long as it may become tough.

  5. Serve:
Once the fish is cooked to your liking, remove it from the pan and transfer it to a serving plate. Serve the grilled gourami alongside crispy fried potatoes and steamed vegetables or a fresh salad.

Enjoy your delicious American-style grilled gourami, a perfect blend of savory and slightly sweet flavors!
