Chicken Feet and Head Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams chicken feet (with head)
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 potatoes
  • 1/4 cabbage
  • Spices:
    • 4 cloves garlic
    • 3 shallots
    • 1 stalk green onion (scallion)
    • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • Salt to taste
    • Seasoning to taste
  • Water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken Feet:
Begin by thoroughly cleaning the chicken feet and heads. Place them into a large pot filled with water. Bring to a boil and cook until the chicken feet become tender.

  2. Prepare the Vegetables:
While the chicken feet are cooking, peel and cut the carrots and potatoes into your desired shapes. Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces. Rinse all the vegetables under cold water and set them aside.

  3. Sauté the Aromatics:
In a separate pan, finely mince the garlic and shallots. Slice the green onion (scallion) into thin rings. Heat a small amount of oil in the pan and sauté the minced garlic, shallots, and green onion until they release a fragrant aroma.

  4. Combine Ingredients:
Add the chopped vegetables to the pan with the sautéed aromatics. Stir well to combine. Pour in enough water to cover the vegetables and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

  5. Add Chicken Feet and Seasonings:
Once the chicken feet have softened, transfer them from the pot to the pan with the vegetables. Sprinkle in the ground black pepper, salt, and seasoning to taste. Stir everything together and let it simmer until the vegetables are fully cooked and tender.

  6. Serve:
Once the vegetables are tender and the flavors are well melded, remove the soup from heat. Serve hot, and enjoy the comforting, savory goodness of this traditional soup.

This hearty Chicken Feet and Head Soup is perfect for a nourishing meal, bringing together simple ingredients with rich, savory flavors. Ideal for a family gathering or a cozy dinner, it embodies a classic touch of home cooking.
