Ingredients:

  • 1 packet of Burung Dara flat noodles (140g, contains 2 packs)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 shallots
  • 5 small red chilies (adjust to taste for spiciness)
  • 50 ml water
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sugar, to taste
  • Sweet soy sauce, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Noodles: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the flat noodles and cook until tender. Drain the noodles and set aside.

  2. Prepare the Spice Paste: Peel and finely chop the garlic, shallots, and red chilies. Using a mortar and pestle or a food processor, grind these ingredients into a smooth paste.

  3. Cook the Spice Paste: Heat a generous amount of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the ground spice paste to the hot oil and sauté until fragrant and golden brown.

  4. Add the Eggs: Crack the eggs into the pan with the spice paste. Stir continuously to scramble the eggs and mix them with the spices. Cook until the eggs are fully set and the mixture is well combined.

  5. Add Water and Seasonings: Pour 50 ml of water into the pan and let it simmer until the water has mostly evaporated. Season with salt, sugar, and sweet soy sauce to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.

  6. Combine with Noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the pan. Toss and stir until the noodles are evenly coated with the spice mixture and heated through. Ensure the noodles are well mixed with the seasoning.

  7. Serve and Enjoy: Once the noodles are well mixed and heated, your Mie Goreng Telur is ready to serve. Enjoy this savory and satisfying dish hot. Feel free to share your cooking experience and a photo of your creation!
