Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/2 head lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 8 oz Velveeta Mexican cheese, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Cook the Ground Beef:

    • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Prepare the Meat Mixture:

    • Stir in the tomato sauce and taco seasoning mix. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
  4. Prepare the Crust:

    • Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of a lightly greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. Assemble the Pie:

    • Spread the cooked meat mixture evenly over the baked crust.
    • Arrange the sliced Velveeta cheese over the meat mixture.
  6. Bake Again:

    • Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve:

    • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
    • Top with shredded lettuce and chopped tomatoes before serving.
