Casserole Supreme Recipe

Ingredients:
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 cups grated cheese (your choice)
- 1 pound ground meat (beef or turkey)
- 1 can mushrooms, drained
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Italian or Greek seasoning, to taste
- 1 package crescent rolls, thawed
Instructions:
- Thaw frozen crescent rolls.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with the thawed crescent rolls, pressing the seams together to form a crust.
- In a skillet, brown the ground meat and onion over medium heat until cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the canned tomatoes (undrained), garlic powder, Italian or Greek seasoning, brown sugar, salt, and pepper to the meat mixture. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Spread the meat mixture evenly over the prepared dough in the baking dish.
- Drain the canned mushrooms and sprinkle them over the meat mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and top with grated cheese. Return to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 10-15 minutes more.
- Let the casserole cool and set for 10 minutes before serving.
