This recipe was discovered during such a time, where the yearning for Wolf Brand Chili and canned tamales led to the creation of this unique dish. While it may sound unusual to some, the irresistible allure of pregnancy cravings knows no bounds!

Ingredients:

  • 6 green bell peppers
  • 1 can of Wolf Brand Chili (or any preferred chili)
  • 1 can of canned tamales
  • 1 onion
  • 1 1/2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup of tortilla chips, crushed

Instructions:

Step Description
1 Cut the green peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
2 Remove the wrappers from the tamales and cut them into 1/4-inch slices.
3 In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced tamales, chili, 3/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, diced onion, and ketchup. Stir until well combined.
4 Spoon the tamale mixture into the prepared pepper shells.
5 Place the stuffed peppers in an electric skillet.
6 Add enough water to the skillet to reach a depth of 1/4 inch.
7 Cover the skillet and simmer the peppers for 25 minutes.
8 After simmering, sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese over the peppers.
9 Top the peppers with the crushed tortilla chips.
10 Simmer the peppers, uncovered, for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
