Nugget Tempe Recipe

Ingredients

Chicken (ground) 200 grams
Egg 1 piece
All-purpose Flour 4 tablespoons
Spices:
Garlic 3 cloves
Ground Coriander 1 tablespoon
For Coating:
Liquid Milk as needed

Instructions

  1. Steam the Tempe: Start by steaming the tempe for about 10 minutes. Once done, remove it from the heat and mash it while it’s still warm to ensure a smooth texture.

  2. Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a food processor, combine the ground chicken, minced garlic, and egg. Blend until the mixture is smooth.

  3. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the mashed tempe, the chicken mixture, ground coriander, salt, and seasoning. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and mix until well incorporated.

  4. Shape the Nuggets: Take small portions of the dough and shape them into round, flat nuggets. Continue this process until all the mixture is shaped.

  5. Coat the Nuggets: Dip each nugget into liquid milk, then roll them in breadcrumbs to coat evenly.

  6. Chill Before Frying: Place the coated nuggets in the freezer for a minimum of 30 minutes. This helps them firm up and maintain their shape during frying.

  7. Fry and Serve: Once chilled, heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the nuggets until golden brown and crispy. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce!
