Tender Beef Meatballs (Using Frozen Beef) – Fitri Sasmaya Recook
Ingredients:
- 250 grams of beef (fresh from the freezer)
- 2.5 tablespoons tapioca flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons crushed ice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 egg white
- 1500 ml water (for boiling the meatballs)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder (optional)
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Beef Mixture:
- Cut the beef into smaller pieces for easier processing. Place the beef and crushed ice into a food processor. Process until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
- Add the tapioca flour, minced garlic, salt, and egg white to the beef mixture. Blend again until everything is thoroughly mixed. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
-
Cook the Meatballs:
- Bring 1500 ml of water to a boil in a large pot. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a gentle simmer.
- Using your hands, form the beef mixture into meatballs of your preferred size (small meatballs are recommended if preferred).
- Gently drop the meatballs into the simmering water. Continue forming and adding meatballs until all of the mixture is used.
- Cover the pot and increase the heat slightly, allowing the meatballs to cook until they rise to the surface. This indicates they are fully cooked.
-
Cool and Drain:
- Once all the meatballs have floated to the top, remove them from the pot using a slotted spoon.
- Place the cooked meatballs in a bowl of ice-cold water for a few minutes to cool down quickly.
- Drain the meatballs and they are now ready to be enjoyed as a snack or used in your favorite recipes.
These tender meatballs are perfect for a quick snack or as a versatile ingredient in various dishes. Enjoy the delicious results!
