Tender Beef Meatballs (Using Frozen Beef) – Fitri Sasmaya Recook

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams of beef (fresh from the freezer)
  • 2.5 tablespoons tapioca flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons crushed ice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg white
  • 1500 ml water (for boiling the meatballs)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef Mixture:

    • Cut the beef into smaller pieces for easier processing. Place the beef and crushed ice into a food processor. Process until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
    • Add the tapioca flour, minced garlic, salt, and egg white to the beef mixture. Blend again until everything is thoroughly mixed. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
  2. Cook the Meatballs:

    • Bring 1500 ml of water to a boil in a large pot. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a gentle simmer.
    • Using your hands, form the beef mixture into meatballs of your preferred size (small meatballs are recommended if preferred).
    • Gently drop the meatballs into the simmering water. Continue forming and adding meatballs until all of the mixture is used.
    • Cover the pot and increase the heat slightly, allowing the meatballs to cook until they rise to the surface. This indicates they are fully cooked.
  3. Cool and Drain:

    • Once all the meatballs have floated to the top, remove them from the pot using a slotted spoon.
    • Place the cooked meatballs in a bowl of ice-cold water for a few minutes to cool down quickly.
    • Drain the meatballs and they are now ready to be enjoyed as a snack or used in your favorite recipes.

These tender meatballs are perfect for a quick snack or as a versatile ingredient in various dishes. Enjoy the delicious results!
