Grilled Steakhouse Sirloin with Garlic Mushroom Butter 🥩🍄

Description

Our grocery store cooks featured items and I happened to taste this “out of this world” steak there. I got the recipe, made a few changes, like adding the garlic to the butter, and made it that night. My husband stated, “This is the way you should cook steak from now on.” Add a tossed salad and you’ve got a great meal.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 package (2.75 ounces) mushroom gravy mix
  • 2 boneless beef top sirloin steaks
  • 1/2 cup steak sauce
  • 1/2 cup Merlot or other red wine
  • 2 teaspoons steak seasoning

Instructions

Step Description
1 In a small mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, and 1/2 package of mushroom gravy mix. 🧈🧄
2 Mix well using a fork or put the mixture in a food processor and blend until well combined.
3 Chill the garlic mushroom butter in the refrigerator while preparing the steak. ❄️
4 In a medium mixing bowl, combine steak sauce, Merlot, and steak seasoning to create a flavorful marinade. 🍷
5 Place the steaks in a shallow dish or resealable bag and coat them with half of the marinade mixture.
6 Reserve the remaining marinade to use for basting later on.
7 Though there’s no required marinating time, while the grill preheats and the table gets set, leaving the steaks in the refrigerator for about 30-45 minutes can enhance the flavors. ⏳
8 Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. 🌡️
9 Grill the steaks for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. 🥩
10 While grilling, baste the steaks with the reserved wine and steak sauce mixture for extra flavor. 🌿
11 Once done, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
12 Cut each steak into 4 serving portions and top each portion with a generous tablespoon of the prepared Garlic Mushroom Butter. 🍽️
