Black Pepper Beef with Simple Green Broccoli
Ingredients:
- 250 grams beef sirloin, thinly sliced for quick tenderizing
- Broccoli, as desired
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- Black pepper sauce (Bamboe brand)
- Seasoning (to taste)
- Water, as needed
- Cooking oil
Instructions:

-
Prepare the Beef: Slice the beef sirloin thinly to ensure it cooks quickly and becomes tender. Set aside.
-
Prepare the Broccoli: Cut the broccoli into bite-sized pieces. To ensure it’s clean, soak it in salted water for a few minutes. This helps to remove any potential pests.
-
Prepare the Aromatics: Mince the garlic and dice the onion. You’ll use some garlic for the beef and the rest for the broccoli. If you like, you can also add bell peppers to the broccoli for extra flavor.
-
Cook the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and diced onion, and sauté until they become translucent and aromatic. Add the thinly sliced beef to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef changes color.
-
Add the Sauce: Pour in the black pepper sauce. Add a small amount of water to help distribute the sauce and create a bit of sauce base. Be cautious with the water—use just enough to incorporate the sauce without diluting the black pepper flavor.
-
Prepare the Broccoli: In a separate pan, heat a little oil and sauté the remaining minced garlic until fragrant. Add a small amount of water, then the broccoli. Season with a pinch of seasoning and cook until the broccoli is tender. Drain any excess water.
-
Finish the Beef: Return to the beef pan. Once the sauce has thickened, adjust the seasoning with a bit more water, seasoning, and black pepper if needed.
-
Serve: Serve the black pepper beef alongside the steamed broccoli and hot rice for a delicious and satisfying meal.
