Ingredients

For the Vegetable-etti:

  • 1/2 Green Pumpkin (Labu Siam), boiled
  • 1 Small Carrot, finely chopped
  • 2 Leaves of Cabbage (Kol), shredded

For the Tuna Sauce:

  • 100 grams Tuna, finely chopped
  • 1/2 Small Tomato, pureed
  • 1 Clove Garlic, minced
  • 3 Red Chilies, minced (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Basil, to taste
  • Mayonnaise, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 Shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 Celery Leaf, for garnish

Preparation Steps

  1. Prepare the Vegetables:
    Begin by boiling the green pumpkin for about 2 minutes. Once cooked, add the chopped carrot and shredded cabbage to the boiling water. After another minute, drain the vegetables and set them aside.

  2. Cook the Tuna:
    In a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the chopped shallot and sauté until fragrant. Then, introduce the chopped tuna to the skillet, cooking until it’s fully cooked through.

  3. Make the Sauce:
    Incorporate the minced garlic, red chilies, pureed tomato, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper into the skillet. Add a splash of water if necessary to help combine the ingredients. Let the mixture cook until it thickens slightly.

    Once the sauce has thickened, stir in the fresh basil and chopped celery leaf. Remove the skillet from the heat and allow the flavors to meld together.
