Quantity Ingredient
12 eggs
1 cup sugar
13 oz brandy
26 oz dark rum
4 oz Creme de Cacao
8 oz rum
4 cups light cream
3 dashes nutmeg

  1. If you don’t have overproof rum, substitute ordinary white rum (or simply omit this ingredient).

  2. The night before your merry gathering, gather your ingredients and embark on this delightful journey. Begin by combining the egg yolks and sugar in a blender.

  3. Due to the volume, you might need to work in batches. Divide the egg yolks and sugar equally into two batches.

  4. To each batch, add half of the brandy, dark rum, Creme de Cacao, and light cream.

  5. Blend each batch until smooth and creamy. Depending on the capacity of your blender, you may need to work in three batches to ensure thorough blending.

  6. Transfer the finished mixture to a punch bowl, cover it securely with plastic wrap, and let it chill in the refrigerator overnight, allowing the flavors to meld and develop.

  7. Meanwhile, separate the 12 egg whites and store them in a large bowl in the refrigerator overnight as well.

  8. Shortly before your guests are due to arrive the next day, it’s time to add the finishing touches. Beat the reserved egg whites until they form stiff peaks, which is best achieved when they are at room temperature.

  9. In a separate large bowl, whip the cream until it forms soft peaks, creating a light and airy texture.

  10. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the whipped cream, being careful not to deflate the mixture.

  11. Once combined, pour this fluffy concoction into the chilled egg yolk, liquor, and cream mixture awaiting in the punch bowl.

  12. Blend the ingredients together, but don’t overmix – it’s perfectly delightful to leave it slightly “lumpy” for added texture and charm.

  13. As a final touch, generously dust the top of the eggnog with freshly grated nutmeg, infusing it with a festive aroma and flavor.

  14. Welcome your guests with a warm smile and a glass of this delectable Christmas Eggnog, spreading joy and merriment as you celebrate the holiday season together.

  15. Raise a toast to cherished memories, good company, and the magic of the holidays. Cheers to you and yours! 🥂🎄✨
