Step Description
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a blender or food processor, combine 1 1/2 cups of mixed nuts, almonds, and sugar. Blend at high speed until finely ground, ensuring not to grind into a paste.
In a medium bowl, mix together the butter and vanilla until well combined. Add the ground nut mixture and stir just until the dough holds together.
Press the dough onto the bottom of a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom. Place the tart pan on a baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
While the crust is baking, in a 2-quart saucepan, combine the caramels and half-and-half. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the caramels are melted and the mixture is smooth (approximately 15 to 20 minutes).
Remove the caramel mixture from heat and gently stir in 1 1/2 cups of mixed nuts and the brandy extract. Spoon the mixture onto the cooled crust and spread it evenly. Allow it to cool for 30 minutes.
In a 1-quart saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and vegetable oil over low heat until melted and smooth (about 3 to 5 minutes). Drizzle the melted chocolate over the tart.
Serve your delicious Harvest Nut Tart with a dollop of whipped cream on top and enjoy the indulgent flavors!
