Description:

These VCare For Char’s White Ladoos are an absolute delight for the senses! 💫 My family can’t get enough of these sweet treats, often finding themselves reaching for seconds and thirds. The number of servings can vary depending on how generously you shape these ladoos’. 😉 Remember to refrigerate them, especially because of the khoya, a creamy milk component that adds richness and flavor to these delectable bites. If you can’t find khoya at your local Indian store, don’t worry! I’ve got a quick and easy homemade khoya substitute for you. ✨

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Semolina 1 1/2 cups
Powdered sugar 2 cups
Khoya 3/4 cup
Pistachios, chopped 2-3 tablespoons
Almonds, chopped 2-3 tablespoons
Green cardamoms, ground 2 pods

Homemade Khoya Substitute:

If you can’t find khoya at the store, here’s a simple substitute:

  • 1 cup whole milk powder
  • 1 teaspoon ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1-2 tablespoons water

Mix these together until you get a dough-like consistency. This will yield approximately 100gms of khoya.

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Semolina:

    • Heat a pan over medium flame.
    • Add semolina and sauté lightly until it turns a light pink color and becomes fragrant.
    • Remove from the flame and transfer to a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Khoya Mixture:

    • In another pan, heat the khoya and powdered sugar together.
    • Mix well and cook over low flame.
    • Be careful not to let the khoya turn brown; it should just soften.
    • Add in the chopped pistachios, almonds, and ground cardamom.
    • Mix everything together gently with a large spoon.
    • Remove from the flame.
  3. Form the Ladoos:

    • While the mixture is still warm, bind it together to form small, evenly sized balls (ladoos’).
    • Garnish each ladoo with a small piece of chopped pistachio.
  4. Serve:

    • Place the ladoos’ on a beautiful silver or golden tray as you make them.
    • Allow them to cool completely.
    • Serve these VCare For Char’s White Ladoos as a delightful dessert after your meal.

These White Ladoos are sure to steal the show at any gathering! 💖 Enjoy the creamy texture of khoya combined with the crunch of nuts and the aromatic flavors of cardamom. Whether you’re making them for a special occasion or simply to treat your family, these ladoos’ will always be a hit! 🌟
