Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
2 cups Water
1/2 cup Pinto beans
1 Onion
1 Garlic clove
1 Green pepper
2 tsp Bacon drippings
2 tsp Oregano
2 tsp Cumin
2 tbsp Tortilla flour
1/3 cup Dry red wine
16 oz Canned tomatoes
2 tbsp Chili powder
2 Boneless pork
2 Beef stew meat

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Beans: In a medium saucepan, combine water and pinto beans. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer until tender, about 1 hour.

  2. Saute Vegetables: In a large skillet, heat bacon drippings over medium-high heat. Add onion, green pepper, and garlic. Saute until tender.

  3. Combine Ingredients: Transfer sauteed vegetables to a Dutch oven and set aside. In the same skillet, brown pork and beef stew meat until well-browned. Stir into the vegetables in the Dutch oven.

  4. Add Beans and Seasonings: To the Dutch oven, add cooked beans along with their liquid, canned tomatoes, oregano, cumin, and chili powder. Mix well to combine.

  5. Simmer: Cover the Dutch oven and simmer the chili for 1 hour.

  6. Add Wine: After 1 hour of simmering, add dry red wine to the chili. Cook, uncovered, for an additional 30 minutes.

  7. Season: Season the chili with salt and pepper, adjusting to taste.

  8. Thicken (Optional): If the mixture is too liquid, prepare a tortilla flour paste by mixing tortilla flour with a small amount of water. Stir this paste into the chili to thicken it.

  9. Serve: Ladle the Dynamite Chili With Beans into bowls and serve hot. Optionally, garnish with shredded cheese, sour cream, or chopped cilantro.

This Dynamite Chili With Beans recipe is a hearty and satisfying dish that’s sure to become a family favorite. Enjoy the explosion of flavors and the warmth it brings to your table! 🌶️🥣
