Ingredients:
| Ingredients | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Egg | 1 |
| Salt | 1 tsp |
| Pepper | 1/2 tsp |
| Ground beef | 1 lb |
| All-purpose flour | 1 1/2 tbsp |
| Water | 1/4 cup |
| Ketchup | 1/2 cup |
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 tbsp |
| Prepared mustard | 1 tbsp |
| Fresh parsley (for garnish) | Optional |
Instructions:
-
In a large bowl, beat the egg 🥚 until well combined.
-
Stir in 1/3 cup of ketchup, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
-
Add the ground beef to the mixture, and gently combine all ingredients to form a uniform mixture.
-
Shape the mixture into six oval-shaped patties 🍔.
-
Heat a skillet over medium heat, then add the patties. Brown them for 3-4 minutes on each side until they develop a golden crust.
-
Once browned, remove the patties from the skillet and set them aside. Discard any excess drippings from the skillet.
-
In the same skillet, combine the all-purpose flour and water, stirring until smooth.
-
Add the remaining ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and the remaining soup to the skillet. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring continuously.
-
Reduce the heat to a simmer, then return the patties to the skillet. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until the meat is no longer pink, and the gravy has thickened.
-
While the patties are simmering, cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
-
To serve, place a portion of egg noodles on each plate, then top with a Salisbury steak patty and spoonfuls of the savory gravy.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired 🌿.
-
Enjoy your delicious Salisbury Steak with Egg Noodles with your loved ones! 😋
Tips:
- To freeze leftovers, store the cooked meat patties in the gravy in airtight containers or freezer bags. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
- Avoid freezing the noodles with the patties; cook fresh noodles when serving for the best taste and texture.
- For added flavor, you can sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the dish before serving.
