Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
1 1/4 Sugar
1/4 Water
1/4 Cream of tartar
2 1/4 Low-fat milk
1/4 Egg substitute
1 1/4 Reduced-calorie peanut butter

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 3/4 cup of sugar, water, and cream of tartar.

  2. Stirring constantly, cook over medium-low heat until the sugar dissolves.

  3. Increase the heat to medium and bring the mixture to a boil.

  4. Cook for 10-15 minutes without stirring until the mixture turns into a deep golden brown caramel.

  5. Remove from heat and pour the caramel into an 8-inch round cake pan, tilting it to coat the bottom evenly.

  6. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

  7. In a medium saucepan, combine the low-fat milk and reduced-calorie peanut butter.

  8. Whisking constantly, cook over medium heat until heated through and smooth. Remove from heat.

  9. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg substitute and 1/2 cup of sugar until well blended.

  10. Gradually add the milk mixture to the egg mixture, stirring well to combine.

  11. Pour the custard mixture over the caramelized sugar in the cake pan.

  12. Place the cake pan in a larger 9×13 baking pan.

  13. Add hot water to the baking pan, filling it halfway up the sides of the cake pan, creating a water bath.

  14. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

  15. Once done, transfer the cake pan to a wire rack to cool.

  16. Cover the cake pan and chill it overnight in the refrigerator.

  17. When ready to serve, unmold the Peanut Butter Crème Caramel onto a serving plate, revealing the luscious caramelized top.

Enjoy the creamy texture and rich flavor of this irresistible dessert! 🤤🥄
