Instructions:

Preheat Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare Baking Dish:
- Grease a 13×9 inch baking dish.

Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, mix together 1 1/2 cups of sugar, 1/2 cup of flour, and 1 teaspoon of salt.

Combine with Berries:
- Add the dry mixture to the blackberries and lemon juice, mixing well to coat the berries.

Transfer to Baking Dish:
- Pour the blackberry mixture into the prepared baking dish, and dot the top with 3/4 cup of butter.

Bake:
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake until the mixture is hot and bubbly.

Prepare Topping:
- Prepare the topping just before you’re ready to put it on the cobbler.
- In a separate bowl, mix together 2 cups of flour, 4 teaspoons of baking powder, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Cut in 1/2 cup of butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. This can be done by hand or in a food processor.

- In another bowl, whisk together 2/3 cup of milk and 1 egg.

Combine Wet and Dry:
- Stir the milk and egg mixture into the dry ingredients until just blended.
