Instructions:
- In a small bowl, blend cream cheese, egg, 1/2 cup sugar, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips into the cream cheese mixture and set aside.
- In a large bowl, sift together flour, 1 cup sugar, cocoa, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1 tsp baking soda.
- Add water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla to the flour mixture. Beat well until smooth.
