- Remove the pepper from the bag and rub the loosened skin until it comes off.
- Discard the stem and seeds, then cut the peeled bell pepper into small pieces.
- Add a pinch of salt and ground black pepper to the pepper pieces, and set aside.

- Bring two cups of water to a boil in a pot.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in the olive oil in a medium-sized frying pan.
- Sauté the onions in the pan until they are nearly transparent.
