Description: This Devil’s Dip is an excellent addition to any party, company gathering, or potluck. It’s a crowd-pleaser that will vanish in no time! Adapted from the renowned Company’s Coming Greatest Hits cookbook.

  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 cups

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 10 1/2 tsp dried chives
  • 10 tsp parsley flakes
  • 3 tsp chili powder (plus extra for sprinkling)
  • 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded medium cheddar cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preparation: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Mixing: In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, dried chives, parsley flakes, and 3 teaspoons of chili powder. Mix until well blended.

  3. Layering: Spread the mixture evenly in an ungreased 9×13-inch baking pan.

  4. Seasoning: Sprinkle chili powder over the top of the mixture, ensuring it’s adequately covered. Feel free to add more chili powder according to your preference.

  5. Cheese Layers: Next, create a layer of shredded Monterey Jack cheese followed by a layer of shredded medium cheddar cheese over the seasoned mixture.

  6. Final Touch: Sprinkle a bit more chili powder over the cheese layer for an extra kick.

  7. Baking: Place the baking pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes. If you prefer a crispier texture, bake for 40 minutes instead.

  8. Serving: Once baked to perfection, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

This Devil’s Dip is best enjoyed warm, served with your favorite tortilla chips, crackers, or sliced veggies. Prepare to be amazed as it disappears within minutes! 🎉
