Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

In a large bowl, place the bread and add the water. Allow it to soak for about 5 minutes, then drain off any excess water.

Using a fork, mash the soaked bread until it forms a paste-like consistency.

To the mashed bread, add the ground beef, finely chopped onion, egg, grated Parmesan cheese, fresh parsley, dried parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.

Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, pour the tomato sauce evenly over the meatloaf and sprinkle with dried oregano.

Return the meatloaf to the oven and continue baking for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the top is nicely browned.
