Ingredients:

  • 8 cups watermelon, cubed
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 12 cups sparkling water
  • Sugar (to taste)
  • Mint sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions:

Step Description
1 Whirl melon in blender in batches, adding mint leaves to one of the batches.
2 Pour puree into large pitcher, stir in sparkling water and add sugar to taste (perfectly ripened melon should not require any).
3 Chill for at least one hour.
4 Pour over ice in tall glasses and garnish with mint sprig.

Directions:

  1. Prepare Watermelon and Mint: Start by cubing the watermelon, ensuring you have 8 cups worth. Then gather 1/4 cup of fresh mint leaves.

  2. Blend the Ingredients: In batches, blend the watermelon cubes in a blender. For one of the batches, add the fresh mint leaves to infuse a delightful minty flavor into the watermelon puree.

  3. Combine in Pitcher: Pour the blended watermelon puree into a large pitcher. Stir in 12 cups of sparkling water. Depending on the sweetness of your melon, add sugar to taste. If your watermelon is perfectly ripened, you may not need to add any sugar at all.

  4. Chill: Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least one hour. This chilling time allows the flavors to meld and intensify.

  5. Serve: Once thoroughly chilled, pour the agua fresca over ice in tall glasses. Garnish each glass with a sprig of fresh mint for an extra burst of flavor and visual appeal.

Enjoy this refreshing Agua Fresca de Melon on a hot summer day, and transport yourself to the sunny streets of Mexico with every sip! ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ‰
