👩‍🍳 Description:
Why anyone would make Stove Top after making this, I just wouldn’t understand. I made this recipe over 6 years ago and couldn’t believe the ease or how it tastes! It’s a Thanksgiving tradition now. I’m not a fan of apples baked in foods, but the sweetness of them is so good and gives the dish a great color. The recipe is from a cookbook called “Treasury of Christmas.”

🥘 Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
2 celery
1 1/2 onions
1/2 butter
1 3/4 hot water
1 instant chicken bouillon
12 apples
3 parsley
1 poultry seasoning
1 rubbed sage

🔪 Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, cook celery and onions in margarine until tender.

  2. Add water and bouillon; cook until bouillon dissolves.

  3. In a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients.

  4. Add bouillon mixture and mix well.

  5. Loosely stuff turkey just before roasting (or not, if you don’t like your turkey stuffed). Place remaining stuffing in a greased baking dish.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes or until hot.

📝 Notes:

  • This recipe yields 2 1/2 quarts of stuffing.
  • Enjoy this flavorful stuffing as a side dish for your Thanksgiving feast or any special occasion meal.
