  1. Prepare the Citrus: Begin by ensuring that the lime is as close in size to the lemons as possible. This will help maintain uniformity in the ice ring’s appearance.

  2. Slice the Fruit: Cut the lemons and lime in half lengthwise, then slice them into thin 1/4-inch slices. Ensure that the slices are uniform in thickness for even freezing.

  3. Prepare the Mold: You’ll need a ring mold for this recipe, preferably one with grooves in the bottom for added texture. A Tupperware jello mold works perfectly for this purpose.

  4. Arrange the Slices: With the rind edge facing down, stand the citrus slices up around the circle of the mold. Alternate the slices, placing 1 lime slice, 2 lemon slices, and 1 maraschino cherry in between, ensuring they are positioned closely together. Repeat this pattern five more times until the mold is filled.

  5. Freeze in Stages: Pour enough water into the mold to cover the bottom by approximately 1/2 inch. Place the mold in the freezer and allow it to freeze completely.
