Herb Fillets Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1/4 cup minced garlic
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried tarragon leaf
  • 1 teaspoon chervil
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme leaves
  • 4 fillets of your favorite white fish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Herb Butter Mixture:

    • In a small glass mixing bowl, combine the butter, margarine, minced garlic, and chopped onion.
    • Microwave the mixture for 1 to 2 minutes on high, or until the onion is partly cooked.
  2. Add Seasonings:

    • Stir in the lemon juice, dried parsley flakes, salt, dried tarragon leaf, chervil, and thyme leaves until well combined.
  3. Arrange Fillets:

    • Place the fillets in a 2-quart (12×7 inch) glass baking dish, positioning the thicker edges toward the outside of the dish.
    • Spoon about half of the herb butter mixture evenly over the fillets.
  4. Top with Bread Crumbs:

    • Stir the bread crumbs into the remaining herb butter mixture until fully coated.
    • Sprinkle the bread crumb mixture evenly over the top of the fillets.
  5. Cook Fillets:

    • Microwave the fillets uncovered for 7 to 8 minutes on High, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork (reaching an internal temperature of about 140°F).
  6. Rest and Serve:

    • Allow the fillets to stand for 5 minutes before serving, allowing the flavors to meld together.
    • Serve hot and enjoy the deliciously seasoned Herb Fillets!
