A customer of mine gave me this simple recipe a long time ago. She said “No need to buy eggs, milk, etc. for making your nut-roll dough”. I’ve used this recipe ever since. Sure hope you like it as much as I do.

Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
1 Small curd cottage cheese
4 Flour
1 Margarine
1 Canned milk
1 Brown sugar
1/4 White sugar
1 Egg
1 Margarine
1/2 Butter
2 Vanilla

  1. Prepare Dough:

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Mix the small curd cottage cheese, flour, and margarine together well.
    • Divide the dough in half or thirds, and roll each portion into rectangles.
    • Spread the filling on each rectangle and roll from the long side.
    • Place the rolled dough on a cookie sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 35 minutes.
    • This recipe yields 2 or 3 nut rolls depending on the size and thickness you desire.

    • Mix all the filling ingredients in a saucepan.
    • Cook until the mixture thickens.
