- 1 wheel of brie cheese
- 3-4 apples
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (Pepperidge Farm or Gainsborough)
- 1 egg yolk

Instructions:

Prepare the Filling:
- Mix together the brown sugar, raisins, chopped apples, chopped walnuts, and butter until well combined.

Wrap the Brie:
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
- Place the brie wheel in the center of the pastry sheet.
- Spoon the prepared filling mixture over the top of the brie.

Encase the Brie:
- Carefully fold the pastry over the brie, sealing it completely.
- Trim any excess pastry if necessary.

Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Brush with Egg Wash:
- In a small bowl, beat the egg yolk.
- Brush the beaten egg yolk over the pastry-wrapped brie.

Bake:
- Place the wrapped brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

Reduce Temperature:
- After 15 minutes, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
- Continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.

- Remove the baked brie from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Slice and enjoy the oozy, delicious center with crackers, sliced baguette, or fruit.
