Recipe Instructions:

  1. Begin by setting up two pans—a small skillet and a larger one.
  2. While a nonstick skillet is preferable for easier cleaning, any skillet will suffice.
  3. Heat the small skillet over medium heat and add some oil.
  4. Stir-fry your choice of meat until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
  5. Once cooked, transfer the meat to a small dish and set it aside.
  6. Reheat the skillet and add the beaten egg.
  7. Allow the egg to cook without stirring until it puffs up and becomes lightly browned on one side. If desired, flip the egg, or simply chop it with a spatula.
  8. Remove the cooked egg from the skillet and set it aside.
  9. In the larger skillet, heat approximately 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over high heat until the butter melts and becomes foamy.
  10. Add the rice, vegetables, onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet and stir.
  11. Reduce the heat to medium-high. You should hear crackling and popping sounds, indicating that the rice grains are individually moving.
  12. Avoid stirring the rice mixture too frequently; allow some of it to develop a slight crust, but be cautious not to let it burn.
  13. Add more oil to the skillet if desired.
  14. Season the mixture to taste with soy sauce and oyster sauce.
  15. Add the cooked egg and meat back into the skillet, stirring well to heat everything through.
  16. Once heated through, your quick and easy fried rice is ready to serve!

Enjoy this simple yet satisfying dish as a flavorful weeknight meal or a convenient lunch option. Once you’ve mastered this recipe, feel free to customize it with your favorite ingredients and seasonings to make it your own signature dish! 🍚🥩🍤
