Instructions
-
Prepare Ingredients:
- Finely grate the potato and onion.
-
Mixing:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potato, onion, ground beef, minced garlic, beaten eggs, and chopped parsley. Mix well until thoroughly combined. You can use your hands or a mixer for this step.
-
Form Meatballs:
- Roll the meat mixture into small balls, about the size of a teaspoon to a tablespoon each. Flatten them slightly to form patties.
-
Frying:
- Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place a layer of meatballs/patties into the pan.
- Fry for approximately 5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. You may need to adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of your meatballs.
- If your frying pan is large enough, you can cook them all in 2 or 3 batches. If it’s smaller, you might need to change the oil halfway through frying to prevent the later batches from becoming too brown before they’re cooked inside.
-
Serve:
- Once cooked, remove the meatballs/patties from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot as is, or with your favorite sauce or side dishes.
Tips
- These meatballs can be served as appetizers, party snacks, or as a main dish with a side of vegetables or salad.
- Experiment with adding different spices or herbs to the meat mixture for varied flavors.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or frozen for longer storage.
Enjoy these hearty meat and potatoes meatballs, perfect for any occasion where you need a delicious and satisfying dish!
