Ingredients:

  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons fennel seeds
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/4 pound sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 10 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, brown the chopped onion and ground beef over high heat until fully cooked and onions are translucent.

  2. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and allow it to melt.

  3. Sprinkle cornstarch, dried oregano, fennel seeds, and garlic powder over the pizza sauce. Mix well until combined.

  4. Pour the pizza sauce mixture into the skillet with the cooked ground beef and onions. Stir continuously until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble.

  5. Gradually add shredded cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese to the skillet, one-third at a time. Stir well between each addition until the cheese is fully melted and incorporated into the sauce.

  6. Once the cheese is completely mixed and the sauce is smooth, transfer the mixture into a fondue pot.

  7. Serve immediately with garlic bread cubes or breadsticks for dipping. Alternatively, keep warm in a crock pot for continuous enjoyment.
