Ingredients
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
- 40 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 whole frying chicken (about 4 – 4 1/2 pounds)
- 2 stalks celery, cut into pieces
- 1 cup chicken broth

Season the inside and outside of the chicken with the herb mixture, salt, and pepper.

Place the celery pieces at the bottom of the crockpot.
