Cheesy Fire Wings Recipe
Ingredients:
- 7 chicken wings (cut into halves)
- 2 packets of all-purpose seasoning (such as Kobe seasoning)
- 1 tablespoon margarine
Fire Sauce:
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 5 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 4 tablespoons chili sauce
- 3 tablespoons barbecue sauce (e.g., Del Monte)
- 1.5 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons hot chili sauce (adjust to taste, up to level 10 or more for extra heat)
- 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
Instructions:
-
Clean the chicken wings and marinate with ground pepper and lime juice for 1 hour.
-
Prepare two separate bowls: one with a diluted mix of the Kobe seasoning in warm water and the other with the remaining dry seasoning. First, dip the chicken wings into the liquid seasoning, then coat them thoroughly in the dry seasoning, pressing to ensure it adheres.
-
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken wings until they are golden brown and fully cooked.
-
In a separate pan, sauté garlic in 1 tablespoon of margarine until fragrant.
-
Add tomato sauce, chili sauce, barbecue sauce, oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, hot chili sauce, and honey to the garlic. Stir well until the sauce is heated through and bubbling.
-
Once the sauce is cooked, turn off the heat and add the fried chicken wings. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
-
Serve hot and enjoy your Cheesy Fire Wings!
Note: This recipe skips the cheese sauce, focusing on a deliciously spicy and tangy coating for the wings. Adjust the chili sauce according to your spice preference for a personalized kick!
