Salmon Head Soup

Ingredients:

  • 1 salmon head
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 stalk spring onion, diagonally sliced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 stalk celery leaves
  • Fried shallots

Seasonings:

  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • Ginger, crushed
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Soy sauce
  • Chicken stock powder
  • Oyster sauce

Instructions:

  1. Heat some oil in a pot. Sautรฉ garlic, onion, and ginger until fragrant. Add water and bring to a boil.

  2. Add carrots, soy sauce, salt, sugar, chicken stock powder, and oyster sauce. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  3. Once boiling, add the salmon head. Cook until it’s done on one side, then gently flip (only once to keep it intact).

  4. Add tomatoes and spring onions.

  5. Once cooked through, remove from heat. Garnish with celery leaves and fried shallots. Serve hot.
