Title: Steamed Chicken and Shrimp Dumplings

Ingredients:

  • 400 grams ground chicken
  • 200 grams peeled shrimp, chopped
  • 2 stalks spring onions, finely chopped
  • 6 tablespoons tapioca flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup finely grated carrot (reserve some for topping)
  • Wonton wrappers

Steps:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped shrimp, spring onions, tapioca flour, garlic powder, ground pepper, salt, sesame oil, soy sauce, and most of the grated carrot (reserve some for topping).

  2. Take a wonton wrapper, place approximately 1 tablespoon of the filling mixture in the center, then sprinkle some grated carrot on top.

  3. Fold the wonton wrapper over the filling to create a triangle or desired shape, ensuring the edges are sealed tightly. Repeat until all the filling is used.

  4. Arrange the dumplings in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.

  5. Steam the dumplings over boiling water for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.

  6. Serve hot, optionally garnished with remaining grated carrot on top.
