Spicy Chicken (Ayam Saos Pedas) Recipe

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Cut the chicken into 20 bite-sized pieces and wash them thoroughly.
    • Dissolve 4 tablespoons of Sajiku flour in a small bowl with a little water to make a batter.
  2. Coat and Fry the Chicken:

    • Heat cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
    • Dip the chicken pieces into the Sajiku flour batter, then coat them with additional Sajiku flour.
    • Fry the coated chicken in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy. Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  3. Prepare the Spicy Sauce:

    • In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
    • Stir in the tomato sauce, chili sauce, oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce, sugar or honey, white pepper, and water.
    • Cook the sauce, stirring occasionally, until it comes to a boil and thickens slightly. No additional thickening agents are needed as the sauce will naturally thicken.
  4. Combine and Serve:

    • Once the sauce is ready, turn off the heat and add the fried chicken pieces to the pan.
    • Toss the chicken in the sauce until well-coated.
  5. Serve:

    • Transfer the spicy chicken to a serving platter. Serve hot and enjoy!
