    • 1 1/2 large onions
    • Bird’s eye chilies (to taste)
    • 3 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
    • 1/2 bottle of chili sauce (saus sambal)
    • 1/2 bottle of tomato sauce (saus tomat)
    • Black pepper (to taste)
    • Salt (to taste)
    • Sugar (to taste)
    • A splash of water

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fish:

    • Rinse the fish thoroughly and pat dry. Cut the fish into two halves, making them slightly thinner to ensure even cooking.
    • Rub the fish generously with the fish frying mix. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat and fry the fish until golden and crispy. Set aside.
