Honey Soy Glazed Salmon with Garlic Broccoli

Grilled Salmon with Broccoli

Ingredients:

  • 1 salmon fillet (approximately 100 grams)
  • 1 head of broccoli
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 lime, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Bon cabe chili seasoning (to taste)
  • 3 teaspoons soy sauce (I used Raja Rasa)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Begin by finely mincing the garlic cloves. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, honey, and Bon cabe chili seasoning. Stir until all the ingredients are well mixed.

  2. Add the salmon fillet to the bowl with the marinade. Cover the bowl and shake gently to ensure the salmon is evenly coated with the marinade. Allow the salmon to marinate for 10 to 15 minutes.

  3. While the salmon is marinating, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cut the broccoli into florets and cook them in the boiling water until they are tender, about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over low heat and add a small amount of olive oil. Place the marinated salmon in the skillet and cook, turning occasionally, until the salmon is cooked through and has a golden-brown crust on all sides.

  5. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the broccoli and cook briefly to reheat and combine with any residual flavors from the salmon.

  6. Serve the grilled salmon hot alongside the broccoli, seasoned with a sprinkle of black pepper. Pair with warm rice if desired.
