Practical Bandeng Satay Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole bandeng fish (bones removed)
  • 1 egg
  • 3 shallots
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 thumb-sized piece of ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Coriander to taste
  • Granulated sugar to taste
  • Optional: red chili peppers (for added heat)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fish Mixture:

    • Place the bandeng fish in a blender and blend until smooth. Ensure that the fish is completely pureed for a consistent texture.
  2. Prepare the Spice Blend:

    • Peel and chop the shallots and garlic. Peel and slice the ginger. Blend these ingredients together until finely ground.
  3. Combine Ingredients:

    • Mix the blended spices with the pureed fish. Add salt, pepper, coriander, and sugar according to your taste preferences. If you enjoy spicy flavors, you can also add finely chopped red chili peppers at this stage.
  4. Incorporate the Egg:
