Cheesy Chicken and Vegetable Nuggets (No MSG)

Ingredients

  • 500 grams boneless chicken meat
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon tapioca flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • Grated cheese, to taste
  • 1 broccoli floret, finely chopped (optional, can be substituted with carrots or other vegetables)
  • Spice mix:
    • 4 cloves garlic
    • 3 cloves shallots
    • 1 teaspoon pepper
    • Salt, to taste
  • Coating:
    • 150 grams breadcrumbs
    • 1 large egg
    • All-purpose flour, as needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Mixture:

    • Grind the boneless chicken meat and 2 eggs until the mixture is very smooth. If needed, add a little water to achieve the desired consistency.
  2. Combine Ingredients:

    • In a large bowl, mix the ground chicken, finely chopped garlic, shallots, pepper, salt, grated cheese, and finely chopped broccoli (or your chosen vegetable). Stir in the all-purpose flour and tapioca flour until everything is well combined.
  3. Steam the Nuggets:

    • Transfer the chicken mixture into a mold or baking dish. Cover the top of the steaming pot with a cloth before placing the lid to prevent water from dripping onto the nuggets. Steam the mixture for about 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  4. Cool and Cut:

    • Once cooked, remove the mold from the steamer and let it cool completely. Cut the steamed chicken mixture into nugget-sized pieces according to your preference.
  5. Coat the Nuggets:

    • Prepare three separate bowls: one with all-purpose flour, one with a beaten egg, and one with breadcrumbs.
    • Dredge each nugget piece in the flour, then dip it into the beaten egg, and finally coat it evenly with breadcrumbs.
  6. Fry the Nuggets:

    • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the nuggets until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  7. Store or Serve:

    • Enjoy your freshly made Cheesy Chicken and Vegetable Nuggets immediately. Any remaining nuggets can be stored in the freezer for future use.
