Beef Yakiniku with Just 3 Ingredients (Toddler-Friendly)
Ingredients:
- 100 grams tenderloin beef (or sirloin)
- 20 grams diced onion
- 50 grams sliced onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tablespoon Kikkoman soy sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon organic coconut sugar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing)
- 100 cc water (about 1/2 cup)
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Ingredients: Thinly slice the beef into bite-sized pieces or according to your preference. Dice some of the onion and slice the rest into thin strips. Smash the garlic and set aside.
-
Sauté the Aromatics: Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, and sauté until they become fragrant and the onion softens, about 1 minute.
-
Cook the Beef: Reduce the heat to low, then add the sliced beef to the pan. Cook until the beef changes color. Add the Kikkoman soy sauce and season with organic coconut sugar. Stir well to combine.
-
Simmer and Adjust: Pour in the water and adjust the seasoning to taste. Allow the beef to simmer for 5-10 minutes so that the flavors can meld and the beef absorbs the seasoning.
-
Add the Final Touch: Add the sliced onions and stir briefly. Turn off the heat and serve.
