Sapi Lada Hitam (Black Pepper Beef)
Ingredients:
- 250 grams of sirloin beef, sliced into teriyaki-style strips
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, coarsely chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 sachet of oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- 1 teaspoon of coarsely ground black pepper (or ground black pepper)
- 1 teaspoon of cornstarch, dissolved in a little water
- Sugar and salt, to taste
- Water, as needed

Prepare the Aromatics: Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic, onion, and diced green bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are fragrant and the onions are translucent.

Cook the Beef: Add the sliced beef to the pan. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked through.

Add the Sauce Ingredients: Pour in enough water to cover the beef. Stir in the black pepper, sweet soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
