Sate Goreng Daging Sapi Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 kg beef, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 5 shallots, thinly sliced
- 10 red bird’s eye chilies, sliced diagonally
- 2 green tomatoes, chopped
- 2 bay leaves
- 5 kaffir lime leaves, thinly sliced
Spice Paste (blend all together):
- 10 cloves garlic
- 10 candlenuts
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 4 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- 1 block palm sugar, thinly sliced
- 10 tablespoons tamarind water, finely strained
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
-
Marinate the Beef:
- Combine the beef with all the blended spice paste ingredients. Allow it to marinate for at least 1 hour to absorb the flavors.
-
Cook the Beef:
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté the sliced shallots and bay leaves until fragrant.
- Add the marinated beef to the pan, stirring well. The beef will release its juices; let it simmer until the liquid reduces and the beef becomes tender.
-
Add Vegetables and Finish Cooking:
- Stir in the sliced chilies, kaffir lime leaves, chopped tomatoes, and sliced onion. Cook for a few more minutes, ensuring the onions are just tender and not overly wilted.
-
Taste and Serve:
- Adjust the seasoning as needed, then serve the sate goreng daging sapi hot.
