Healthy and Chewy Beef Meatballs by Melly

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams of beef
  • 250 grams of chicken breast
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of fried shallots
  • 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 6 tablespoons of tapioca flour

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Meat Mixture: Begin by placing the fried shallots and garlic cloves into a food processor. Add the beef and chicken breast. Process the mixture until the meat is finely ground and well combined.

  2. Mix Ingredients: Once the meat is finely ground, transfer it to a mixing bowl. Add the egg, salt, baking soda, and tapioca flour. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture has a smooth consistency.

  3. Shape the Meatballs: To form the meatballs, take a portion of the mixture and shape it according to your preference. For perfectly round meatballs, place the mixture in the palm of your hand. Gently squeeze it between your thumb and forefinger to mold the mixture into a ball.

  4. Cook the Meatballs: Bring a pot of water to a gentle simmer (not a rolling boil) over low heat. Carefully drop the shaped meatballs into the simmering water. Cook the meatballs until they float to the surface and are fully cooked through.
