Tumis Kimchi Beef Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
- 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, smashed
- 1/2 piece of onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, crushed and minced
- 7 pieces of bird’s eye chili, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp palm sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- A dash of pepper
- 1 tsp mushroom broth powder
- 1 red tomato, chopped and seeds removed
- 3 tbsp kimchi (I use the Ommason brand)
- 5 pieces of thinly sliced beef (you can pre-boil it for a softer texture)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- Cooking oil and water as needed
- Dried parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat some oil in a pan and sauté the onion, garlic, chili, and ginger until fragrant.
- Add the beef slices and sesame seeds, stirring until the beef changes color and is almost cooked through.
- Mix in the kimchi and tomato, sauté briefly, then add a little water.
- Season with mushroom broth powder, palm sugar, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. Cook until the beef is fully done.
- Your Tumis Kimchi Beef Stir-Fry is ready to be served. Garnish with a sprinkle of dried parsley for a beautiful presentation.
