Beef Teriyaki Recipe
Ingredients:
- 500 grams beef (sirloin or ribeye works well)
- 8 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
- 1 onion
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- 3 red chilies
- 3 cloves garlic
- 3 cm ginger
- 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Sugar, to taste
- Cooking oil
- 500 ml hot water
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Beef: Begin by placing the beef in a large pot and covering it with water. Bring the water to a boil and cook the beef until it is halfway done. Skim off any foam and impurities that rise to the surface.
-
Reboil the Beef: Discard the water and replace it with fresh boiling water. Return the beef to the pot and cook until it becomes tender. Once done, drain the beef and cut it into bite-sized pieces according to your preference.
-
Sauté the Aromatics: Heat a suitable amount of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic, onion, and crushed ginger to the pan. Sauté until fragrant. Next, add the chopped green bell pepper and red chilies. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the vegetables are tender and aromatic.
-
Combine Beef and Seasonings: Add the beef pieces to the skillet. Stir well to coat the meat with the aromatics. Season with sugar, salt, and black pepper to taste. Pour in the teriyaki sauce, ensuring the beef is well coated.
-
Simmer and Reduce: Gradually add the hot water to the skillet, a little at a time, and allow it to simmer. This will help the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken. Continue to cook until the sauce has reduced and the beef is well-glazed.
-
Finish and Serve: Once the sauce has thickened to your liking and the beef is thoroughly coated, remove the skillet from the heat. Serve the beef teriyaki hot, garnished with any additional fresh herbs or sesame seeds if desired.
Enjoy your flavorful and tender Beef Teriyaki, perfect for a hearty meal or a special dinner!
