Beef Steak Alakadarnya Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Steak:

  • 1/4 kg beef or chicken, cut into thin, wide pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Marinade:
    • 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
    • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
    • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
    • A small amount of finely chopped onion and salt

For the Sauce:

  • 1 clove onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced beef
  • 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in a little water
  • A small amount of sweet soy sauce
  • A pinch of salt and ground pepper

For Serving:

  • Boiled carrots, green beans, or other vegetables
  • French fries
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Meat:

    • Wash the thinly sliced beef (or chicken) thoroughly.
    • Boil the meat until tender, adding a little salt and pepper to the boiling water. If desired, marinate the meat beforehand with lime juice or pineapple to tenderize it further.
  2. Tenderize the Meat:

    • Once the meat is tender, pound it with a meat mallet to flatten it slightly and make it more tender.
  3. Cook the Meat:

    • Heat a non-stick pan and add a small amount of margarine.
    • Grill the pounded meat in the pan, applying the marinade while grilling. Cook until the meat is fully cooked and the marinade is well absorbed.
  4. Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a separate pan, sauté the finely chopped onion until fragrant. Add the minced beef and cook until browned.
    • Add the tomato sauce, chili sauce, teriyaki sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir well.
    • Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Add a bit of sweet soy sauce to taste.
    • Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency. For extra heat, you can add a bit of black pepper.
  5. Assemble the Dish:

    • Arrange the grilled meat on a serving plate with side dishes such as French fries, boiled carrots, and green beans.
    • Drizzle the prepared sauce over the meat and vegetables. Optionally, sprinkle some sesame seeds on top for added flavor.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
