Orak-Arik Broccoli with Sausage and Eggs

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of broccoli
  • 1 egg
  • 1 sausage
  • 1/2 cup of water

Seasonings:

  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of sugar
  • Food seasoning (such as Royco)
  • Ground black pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 slice of onion
  • 5 red chilies (adjust to taste)

Steps:

  1. Preparation:

    • Chop the broccoli into small pieces, wash, and briefly soak it in salted water to eliminate any possible pests.
    • Beat the egg with a pinch of salt or food seasoning (Royco).
    • Thinly slice the onion, garlic, shallots, and chilies.
  2. Cooking:

    • In a pan, heat a small amount of oil and sauté the onion, garlic, shallots, and chilies until fragrant.
    • Add the beaten egg to the pan, quickly scramble it without cooking it fully.
    • Immediately add the broccoli to the pan, stirring and scrambling to combine the broccoli and egg.
    • Pour in the water and season with a bit more salt, sugar, food seasoning, and ground black pepper.
    • Stir-fry briefly and then add the sliced sausage.
    • Continue cooking on low heat until the broccoli is tender and the water has almost evaporated.
