Orak Arik Telur with Spicy Savory Sauce
Ingredients:
- 5 chicken eggs
- 2 large red chilies
- 2 large green chilies
- 1 tomato
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1/4 onion (Bombay)
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation Steps:
- Scramble the eggs over medium heat, adding a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor. Set aside.
- Finely chop the garlic, onion, red chilies, and green chilies. Dice the tomato into small cubes.
- Heat a pan and add a little oil or butter for sautéing, according to your preference.
- Add the chopped garlic and onion to the pan and sauté over medium heat until fragrant. There is no need to brown them.
- Add the chopped red and green chilies to the pan. Stir and cook until the aroma becomes fragrant. Reduce the heat.
- Mix in the mayonnaise and tomato sauce, followed by soy sauce and sugar. Stir until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir and check the seasoning.
- Add the scrambled eggs to the pan and stir over medium heat until everything is well mixed and the eggs are steaming but not dry.
